Stratton Street Community Centre

Stratton St Methodist Church Community Centre has been at the heart of community activities in Park Village for over 40 years. During that time we opened its doors and provided many services and activities for all.  Its a great place to meet people  from the community that is rich in cultures, multi-faith & ethnicities.

 

Many of the wonderful members from the  community join us regularly on a daily or weekly basis for our amazing activities which range from, Stay & Play our Breakfast Club with great food at reasonable prices for all, even our cooking classes with a professional chef to help you along.

Our programmes currently include:

 

  • Stay And Play Programme For Pre-School Children And Parents/Carers Monday Wednesday Friday 12.30 – 3pm. Interactive Fun & Educational
  • Lunch Club: 3 Course Meal Prepared By Local Chef Just £3.50. Tuesdays 12.30- 2.30pm
  • Breakfast Club With Access To Internet Monday Wednesday Friday 10am – 12 Midday
  • Salsa Classes For Men & Women. Mondays 6.30pm. Fun Way To Fitness And Making New Friends
  • Park Village United FC For Juniors. Training Provided By An FA Qualified Coach. Saturdays 12.30 To 2pm 8 Years And Over
  • Youth Activity Centre Wednesdays 4.30pm To 6pm. 8 Years And Over
  • Asian Ladies Meeting Group. A Social Gathering For Senior Ladies In Our Local Asian Community Tuesdays 12.30 – 2pm
  • Mindfulness & Relaxation Sessions Thursday 11am – 12 Midday
  • Parents Cookery Class Led By Professional Chef
  • Place Of Welcome 5 Days Per Week. Complimentary Cuppa & A Snack In A Place Of Safety Always With A Warm Welcome And Opportunity To Make New Friends & Share Skills & Experiences.
  • Community Garden Patch, A Functional Allotment For Local Residents To Enjoy
  • Job Change Weekly Workshop – Developing Employability Skills A Variety Of Social Evenings Including Quiz Nights, Film Nights, Bingo & Karaoke

  • Annual Events Such As ‘Party In The Park’ And Day Trips Out Also Organised
